This policy explains how YAMA Villa ("YAMA", "we", "us") handles personal information when you visit yamavilla.in, contact us, or book and stay at YAMA Villa, Opp Ghasiyar Shreenathji Temple, Gogunda Road, NH 76, Iswal, Udaipur, Rajasthan 313001, India.
What we collect
- Contact and enquiry details: your name, phone number, email address and the details of your enquiry, when you message us on WhatsApp, email us, call us or use a form on this site.
- Booking details: dates, number of guests, preferences and payment status, whether you book with us directly, through our booking engine, or through a travel site such as Booking.com, Agoda, MakeMyTrip or Airbnb.
- Guest identity documents: the ID that Indian law requires hotels and villas to collect from guests at check-in, and passport and visa details for foreign guests.
- Website usage: basic technical and usage information collected by cookies and similar tools, described below.
We don't collect payment card numbers on this site. Payments are handled by our booking engine, banks and payment providers under their own terms.
How we use it
We use your information to answer enquiries, confirm and manage bookings, prepare for and look after your stay, meet our legal obligations (including guest registration with the authorities), keep our records, and improve our website and advertising. We contact you about your booking, and we send offers only if you have asked us to.
Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to run your booking and our business: the travel site or booking engine you booked through, our property management system, payment providers, the team that manages reservations for us, and government authorities where the law requires it. We don't sell your personal information.
Google account data
YAMA runs its own software, called JUNO, that connects to YAMA's own Google accounts through a Google sign-in app. It reads and manages our reservations mailbox, calendars, documents and spreadsheets, and our Google Ads and Analytics accounts, only so that it can operate YAMA's reservations, guest communication and advertising. Information obtained through Google APIs is used only for those purposes. It is not sold, not used to target advertising at anyone, and not shared with anyone except the service providers that run this software for us. We don't use it to train AI models.
Cookies and measurement
This site uses cookies and similar tools, including the Meta Pixel, to understand how visitors use the site and to measure and improve our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and guest records for as long as the law requires and as long as we need them to handle your booking, questions and disputes. We keep enquiries that didn't become bookings for up to two years.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you offers, by writing to reservations@yamavilla.in. We'll answer within 30 days. Some records have to be kept by law, and we'll tell you if that applies. These rights follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Security
We protect your information with access controls, secure storage and limited access for the people and systems that need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us at once if you think your information has been misused.
Children
Our website and services aren't aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children except as part of a family booking made by an adult.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
